Weigh 5: Weigh in

This week the lovely Mitch – a PT at Genesis Preston – offered us a session.

Neither of us had done personal training before so we were a bit nervous, but we went along and actually had a really good time and got a great work out!

Mitch had us doing all kinds of work outs using these straps

Ok so we were't exactly doing push ups like this but ours were still hard!

We worked out many different muscles here and built up a good sweat!

Then, he had us on the ropes – we were super excited about this as we’d seen the Commando doing this on TBL!

If you're wondering if all these pictures of Commando are really necessary, when we only just mentioned him... the answer is yes. Absolutely. Particularly the last one.

So if you’ve made it past those photos, the point was; Commando made it look easy enough so we thought it would be for us!

We were so wrong.

While one of us worked hard whipping the big heavy ropes up and down the other did a plank. We did this in 30 second intervals.

It was a really fun morning! Not quite as fun the next morning though – our thighs and triceps were so sore, but we’re happy because that just meant we worked hard and it’s paying off on our bodies!

A massive thanks to Mitch- it was a great addition to the exercise for the week!

SO for this week’s weigh in…

This week, Hannah lost another whopping 1.1kgs.

Which means Red Team won this week’s weigh in as Mel fell below the line with no change in weight at all.

She acknowledges a pretty terrible eating week that included giving into her boyfriend persisting they have pizza for dinner, and snacking on finger food at a 40th party. So this week, she’s decided smash the gym extra hard and eat like a rabbit to make up for it!

In juxtaposition of what was just said (our old English teachers would be so proud we just used that word!) We are going to a ball this Friday which has a big three course dinner and drinks flowing all night! Now we might be dieting, but we’re still poor uni students who could use a good feed and some free drinks… so we’ll have to do A LOT of gym to make up for this one – hopefully it doesn’t do too much damage!
